From 18–21 October 2026, Pack Expo International takes place at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois. It is the largest packaging and processing event in North America, it only happens every second year, and it brings roughly 48,000 attendees and 2,600 exhibitors together across more than 40 vertical markets. If you make food or drink in North America, more of your supply chain is in that building in October than in any other room all year.

Low-field nuclear magnetic resonance reads the sample directly. There are no reagents, no acid digestion and nothing sent out to a laboratory, so the interesting question is not really the physics. It is what changes in a quality operation when the salt result arrives in about a minute instead of twenty, and when the number on the certificate is sodium itself rather than chloride inferred from a titration.

Why visit our booth? (LL-9919)

• Watch a sodium result land in about a minute. All three units will be live on the stand, accurate to within ±2% under factory calibration. It takes about ten minutes to watch a full measurement and ask questions.
• Talk about what titration actually costs. A single salt titration works out at roughly $7, and about 80% of that is skilled technician time rather than chemicals. At 50 to 100 tests a day, the arithmetic gets uncomfortable.
• Get the number your label needs. Classic titration measures chloride and infers the salt from it, which can under-report total sodium when bicarbonate, phosphates or MSG are in the recipe. NMR measures sodium directly.
• Reduce the hands-on work in routine testing. Svend takes a carousel of samples and a dedicated cleaning position, handling dilution, homogenisation, measurement and cleaning within a single job. Every unit is factory calibrated with a guided workflow, so line and quality staff run them without a specialist.
• Retire the chromate and the silver waste. No reagents means nothing hazardous to store, handle or dispose of. Worth a conversation if you are already planning around reagent restrictions.
• Add a second parameter later, not a second instrument. Sodium, chloride and fat run on the same unit, added by licence and measured the same chemical-free way.
